Who we are
All I Need For My Website’s website address is: https://www.allineedformywebsite.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you’re using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible publicly next to your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the site.
Contact Forms
If you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share this information with third parties, except as needed to operate the site (for example, our email or form-handling provider).
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen option cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply records the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you’re logged into an account on that website.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use this site, including pages visited, time on site, and general location and device data. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
We also use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. This includes the DoubleClick cookie, which enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Who we share your data with
We share data with the service providers that help us run this site: our hosting provider, our comment spam detection service, and Google (for analytics and advertising, as described above). We do not sell your personal data.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For registered users (if any), we store the personal information in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you’ve provided. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This doesn’t include data we’re obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Analytics and advertising data is processed by Google, which may transfer data internationally in accordance with its own privacy policy.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on visitors. Automated spam filtering is used solely to screen comment submissions.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
No additional industry-specific regulatory disclosures apply to this site beyond what’s described above.
